JESSE FERGUSON
Mr. Ferguson is the Principal and Director of Education at the Ontario Hockey Academy (OHA).

KAYLA LASCELLE
Kayla is a prominent figure at the Ontario Hockey Academy (OHA) where she serves in multiple leadership, coaching, and administrative roles. She is an alumna of the academy and has since become a key member of its professional staff.

Kayla holds a diverse set of responsibilities at the academy, balancing academic administration with high-level athletic coaching:

Administrative: Assistant Principal and Director of Educational Services. She also serves as the Student Guidance lead and the Boys and Girls Hockey Administrator.

Playing Career: Kayla was a standout defenseman. She played for the Cornwall Intermediate Typhoons before attending OHA, where she was the Most Valuable Player and captain. She later played NCAA Division III hockey for Norwich University, where she won a National Championship and was named to the NCAA All-Academic Team.

Education: She holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine (with a concentration in Health Science) from Norwich University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Coaching: Kayla coached medalist Team Ontario U18 team at the Canadian Female U18 Hockey Championships.

Family Connections
The Ontario Hockey Academy is a family-run institution. Kayla is the daughter of Giles Lascelle (the academy's Director and founder) and administrator Kim Lascelle. Her siblings, Jenna and Liam, are also involved in the academy’s operations as coaches and staff members. Her uncle Ray Sheppard, a Major Junior All-Star, played 14 years in NHL. Sister Jenna husband Tyson plays pro in the German Del league and her sister Tia currently plays Usport for Waterloo University.
Professional Philosophy
Kayla has emphasized that her goal is to foster a culture of excellence that extends beyond the ice. She focuses on the "post-OHA" success of students, whether in professional hockey, academics, or other life paths. She is also heavily involved in the academy's 2026 expansion projects, aimed at modernizing facilities for student-athletes.
